    Fixpacks for PowerHA for Linux on IBM Power Systems comprise a set of Linux RPMs that are packaged as a compressed (gzip) tar file. Supported Linux distributions are listed for each fix pack.

    Installation tipsAfter you have downloaded the PowerHA 541 for Linux update package into any directory on your system, follow these steps to install the package:
    1. Unzip and extract the update package (<filename>.tar.gz file) with one of the following commands:
      gzip -d -c <filename>.tar.gz | tar -xvf -
      OR
      tar -xzvf <filename>.tar.gz
    2. Verify the udpate's RPM images in the directory by clicking on the Readme "View" link for the service pack. The Readme contains a list of the package contents.
    3. PowerHA 5.4.0 for Linux must be installed before you can install any service updates. To migrate to an update release from PowerHA 5.4.0 for Linux, use the -U option of the rpm command:
      rpm {-U|--upgrade} [install-options] PACKAGE_FILE .

      Example:
      rpm -Uvh hacmp*
